AMERICAN ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY ADDITION AND RENOVATION

WORCESTER, MA

Addition and renovation to a historic research institution, balancing contemporary form with strict preservation requirements. The project integrates a new conservation lab and educational space alongside a comprehensive upgrade of environmental and electrical systems, supporting long-term collections care. The contemporary addition is expressed through pre-patinated copper cladding, echoing the historic roofscape of the neighborhood while asserting a distinctly modern architectural language.
