COUNTRY COTTAGE
HUDSON VALLEY, NY
A low-profile country house sited on a hilly pasture in the Hudson Valley, conceived as a quiet extension of the landscape. The architecture is organized on a rational timber grid, using prefabricated construction, to achieve material economy and long-term adaptability. Deep overhangs and carefully oriented openings moderate light and climate, while a continuous perimeter terrace dissolves the boundary between interior and site. The result is a restrained domestic environment shaped by light, proportion, and seasonal change.
